The ‘Design Manager - Systemization & Strategy’ will be responsible for creating documentation that streamlines work streams through clear and visual documentation. They will design, deliver, and manage guidelines and resources requested by Design Teams or stakeholders, and support the development of templates and assets to ensure cohesive presentation materials. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values creativity, and is passionate about project delivery and quality. Comfort with change and shaping processes is essential.
The preferred candidate will reside within the Eastern Time Zone.
Supervise a team of 2 members, monitor training, conduct evaluations, and oversee hiring.
Manage daily team activities, establish schedules, assign tasks, and mentor staff.
Act as the primary contact with stakeholders, overseeing design standards, client satisfaction, and team management.
Create templates, playbooks, and guidelines for design strategies.
Develop and manage design strategy frameworks, schedules, and work plans.
Research and develop innovative design strategies.
Support site-agnostic design and programming strategies to improve workplace efficiency.
Manage visual strategies for various audiences, supporting overarching design team strategies.
Implement QA/QC processes within project schedules.
Conduct design reviews to promote innovative solutions.
Apply broad knowledge of design standards and how they integrate with other disciplines to achieve objectives.
Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
Recognize the broader departmental impact of decisions.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior, or Graphic Design preferred, with 5-8 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience and education considered.
Experience with Google apps.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Experience in staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
Ability to communicate sensitive and complex information effectively.
Strong leadership skills to motivate teams and achieve operational targets.
Excellent organizational skills and curiosity.
Intermediate math skills for financial calculations.
The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on skills and experience. Benefits include 401(K), dental, health, life, and vision insurance. Successful candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
