Job summary

WRNS Studio in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Interior Architect to lead design teams through all project phases, from concept to construction, on varied sizes and levels of complexity. You will coordinate with consultants, supervise documentation, and ensure design intent is realized in construction—driving excellence in sustainable, workplace-focused interiors.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, a professional degree, licensed registration; Revit expertise and strong communication

Qualifications

  • Experience leading medium to large-scale projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design teams through all phases from concept to construction.

  • Oversee production and documentation from concept through entitlement and permit submission.
  • Oversee construction administration to maintain design intent during execution.
  • Apply knowledge of architectural design, detailing, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively to achieve design excellence and sustainability.

Job description

WRNS Studio is seeking a Senior Interior Architect for our San Francisco office.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design teams through all phases of projects, from concept to construction on various sizes and levels of complexity
  • Provide project team leadership and coordinate with consultants to engage clients, aligning vision and deliverables
  • Participate in production and oversee documentation of projects from concept, through entitlement, to permit submission
  • Oversee construction administration, ensuring design intent is maintained through execution
  • Exercise knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, and construction techniques
  • Work independently and as part of a project team, collaborating effectively to achieve excellence in design and sustainability
Requirements
  • Minimum 15+ years of architectural and planning experience with strong technical, design, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading medium to large-scale projects
  • Technical proficiency with complex renovation projects
  • Preferred candidate will have some experience with interior architecture, especially workplace
  • Experience working in all phases of architectural projects, including construction administration
  • Experience permitting projects through local Authorities-Having-Jurisdiction
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes
  • Excellent Revit skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
  • Professional Degree in Architecture (BArch / MArch)
  • Registered, licensed architect (LEED accreditation a plus)
