Job summary

Nexamp is seeking a Senior Interconnection Engineer to lead interconnection activities for PV and renewables projects. You will work with internal teams to ensure technically sound, cost-efficient interconnection designs and project execution.

The role reports to GRIT and is based in our hybrid NYC/Chicago/Boston/DC offices with travel to other sites, contributing to Nexamp's sustainable energy mission.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of interconnection experience with utility/solar developer/RTO.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IBC, IFC and related interconnection standards.
• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• AutoCAD knowledge.
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.
• Salesforce, Teams, Power BI, SharePoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of utility interconnection applications from initial submission through closeout.
• Serve as SME on standards and utility requirements for distributed generation.
• Review and interpret interconnection studies, reports, and service agreements.
