Job summary

Mathys+Potestio / The Creative Party® in Portland, OR, seeks an experienced Sr Interactive Designer to craft digital experiences for immersive environments. You will turn concepts into polished interfaces, building UI systems, storyboards, and prototypes while working with designers, developers, and client teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in UI/interaction design, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in Adobe CC and Figma.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UI, interaction design, or digital experience design.
• Strong background in discovery workshops, stakeholder collaboration, storyboards, mockups, UI libraries, and prototyping.
• Passion for user-centered design, digital storytelling, and creating beautiful, functional interfaces with a strong foundation in interaction design.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma or similar prototyping tools, with strong presentation and documentation skills.
• Familiar with Google Material Design, usability principles, and handoff workflows for developers and production teams.
• Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including strategy, UX, brand, environmental, AV, and engineering partners.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable balancing creativity, consistency, and production-ready output in complex project environments.

Responsibilities

• Create digital experience designs for immersive environments using storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and UI systems.
• Collaborate with creative directors, design leads, PMs, developers, and vendors from discovery through production.
• Present concepts, refine feedback into design direction, and develop design books and production artwork.
• Maintain UI libraries and ensure organized files, assets, and handoffs for production teams.

Our client, a global experience design agency, specializes in creating immersive, brand-driven digital experiences that blend UI design, interaction design, storytelling, and technology within physical environments. The team partners with leading brands to translate complex ideas into elegant, usable experiences across large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. This role is ideal for someone who can turn abstract concepts into polished digital interfaces and interactive prototypes while collaborating closely with designers, developers, and client teams.

Job Description

In this role, you will create digital experience designs for immersive environments, bringing UX and creative strategy to life through storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and UI systems.

You’ll partner with creative directors, design leads, project managers, developers, and external vendors to shape interactive experiences from discovery through design development and production. This includes presenting concepts, refining feedback into design direction, creating design books and production artwork, and ensuring consistency across final deliverables.

You will also support design reviews, maintain UI libraries, and help keep files, assets, and handoffs organized for internal and external production teams.
