Job summary

Google is seeking an Interaction Designer and UX Design Lead for YouTube XR to craft scalable design systems for Video-on-Demand, Shorts, 360°, and immersive content. You will lead UX strategy, guide cross-functional teams, and evolve the Google design language for high-end XR platforms.

You will join a multi-disciplinary UX team and collaborate with Engineering, PM XR leadership, and design partners to deliver intuitive, delightful experiences across XR devices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product design or UX.
Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Master's degree in Design, HCI, CS or related field (preferred).
Experience building immersive products across complex projects.
Understanding of XR platform user journeys.

Responsibilities

Develop patterns and frameworks across YouTube XR platforms.
Establish UX strategies reinforcing user-centered mental models.
Evolve and expand Google's design system for XR usability and beauty.
Build relationships across Android XR, YouTube DS, and beyond.
Be a constant source of design inspiration across YouTube UX.
