Job summary

Google is seeking an experienced Interaction Designer to transform complex tasks into intuitive experiences across XR platforms, collaborating with UX, Engineering, and Product teams to shape industry-leading developer and user experiences.

As a Senior Interaction Designer, you will lead the design of developer experiences (DevEx) and interaction paradigms for next-generation XR platforms across headlocked and spatial ecosystems. This role requires a designer with exceptional tooling and framework thinking—someone who can seamlessly bridge the gap between integrated development environment (IDE) tooling workflows in Android Studio and declarative UI framework architectures in Jetpack Compose, Jetpack Glance, and Glimmer. Operating at the intersection of developer tools, UI design systems, and spatial computing, you will define how developers construct, adapt, preview, and deploy multi-context applications across wearables, that are both 2D headlocked and world anchored spatial displays.
