Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a mid-senior designer to craft detailed interaction patterns and high-fidelity prototypes for digital products. You will work with UX researchers and engineers to translate requirements into accessible, component-based interfaces.

The role emphasizes WCAG 2.2 compliance, design system consolidation, and collaboration across front-end teams, with flexible remote working options in the US market.

Qualifications

• Expert proficiency in Figma or equivalent design tooling, with component and variant management.
• Strong portfolio showing interaction-level design, prototyping, and design system work.
• Familiarity with GOV.UK Design System; WCAG 2.2 accessibility knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed interaction patterns, component behaviours, and interface states for digital products.
• Produce high-fidelity prototypes to communicate with users and developers.
• Define and document micro-interactions, error states, validation patterns, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure accessible implementation and WCAG compliance.
• Maintain design system consistency and contribute to shared component libraries.
