Senior Intensive Case Planner – Herkimer, NY (In person)
Rate: $30.22 per hour. 37.5‑hour work week, Monday–Friday 8:30 am–4:30 pm with required flexibility for evenings and weekends. Rotating on‑call coverage for evenings & weekends with team members. 27 paid days off in year 1 (vacation & holidays) plus paid sick time. 4% flat 401(k) after one year, employer‑paid life insurance, medical, dental and vision insurance, and a supportive inclusive culture.
The ICM Senior Case Planner reports directly to the ICP Program Director. The role is responsible for leadership and administrative functions and for ensuring that services are delivered in a manner consistent with New York State Child Welfare Law and best practices. The Senior Case Planner assists with developing policies and program procedures, in conjunction with The Neighborhood Center, Inc. and Oneida County Department of Children and Family Services, to optimize program effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include supervision of staff, ensuring compliance with New York State Child Welfare Law, Oneida County Department of Social Services Preventive/Protective Services policies and procedures, and agency policies/procedures. The position requires advanced case‑work skills and the ability to manage highly complex situations and multiple partners. The Senior Case Planner serves as a role model for Case Planners, emphasizing teamwork and excellence in meeting and securing the needs of individuals and families.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field and at least two years of case management experience, with one‑year supervisory experience strongly preferred.
