Job summary

Worth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Squad and own the systems that connect Worth to the outside world. You will design and deliver the integration layer for hundreds of millions of records, including third-party data providers, public APIs, and internal connectors.

You will lead by example in code reviews, mentor others, and push the technical boundaries of our integration patterns, resilience, and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ownership of major features or subsystems in production, with integration or platform-API surface experience.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, and strong integration/system design skills.
• Experience designing or operating a public API or SDK with versioning and auth.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL experience, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures, plus Redis caching.
• Comfort with Kubernetes and containerized deployments in production.
• Mentoring junior engineers and raising team quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major integrations from partner evaluation through rollout and operation.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party data providers behind clean, versioned contracts.
• Design, evolve, and operate Worth's public REST APIs and SDKs with versioning, auth, and rate limits.
• Break down partner specs and customer requirements into clear technical designs with tradeoffs.
• Write high-quality production code across backend and frontend as needed.
• Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas with indexing and data integrity.
• Build event-driven workflows with Kafka and Redis for enrichment and retries.
• Deploy, monitor, and debug containerized services in Kubernetes; create runbooks.
• Lead pragmatic refactors to modular adapters and promote code quality.
• Handle production incidents methodically and improve system resilience.
