Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the Tennessee Bar and licensed to practice law in assigned jurisdictions.
• Insurance defense litigation experience is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience; trial experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage complex civil litigation from inception to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Meets with clients and claims professionals to resolve cases cost-effectively.
• Conducts pre-trials, mediations, arbitrations, or other needed legal activities.
• May independently conduct trials.
• Advises claim professionals on evaluation of legal files.
• Negotiates settlements and participates in case status discussions.
