Job summary

Farmers is seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join our Northern California team. This role supports remote work with in-person appearances as required, handling complex insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.

You will lead hearings and trials, develop trial strategies, and mentor junior lawyers while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. A strong multistate license and seven years of experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Seven years of litigation experience required.
• Insurance defense, personal injury, and/or jury trial experience required.
• First and second chair trial experience in bodily injury litigation strongly preferred.
• Multistate jurisdictional practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Litigates moderate to high complexity and exposure cases through intake to trial or settlement.
• Acts as the lead attorney at hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Develops strategies and arguments to thoroughly prepare for trial.
• Mentors and supervises attorneys assisting in cases and provides guidance on regulatory compliance.
