Farmers Insurance in California seeks an experienced Trial Attorney to join the Northern California staff counsel team. You will represent clients in insurance defense matters, manage cases from intake through resolution, and participate in hearings and trials as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or equivalent; Bar licensure required in applicable states.
• Seven years of litigation experience required in insurance defense and/or personal injury.
• First and second chair trial experience strongly preferred; multistate practice favored.

Responsibilities

• Litigates moderate to high complexity cases from intake to trial or settlement.
• Acts as lead attorney at hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations and trials.
• Develops trial strategies and uses precedents to predict outcomes.
• Mentors junior attorneys and coordinates with the Claims Executive team.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and good faith handling of claims.
