Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a respected Houston law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in insurance defense and civil litigation. This role supports complex matters in state and federal courts.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a high-volume docket, and has experience handling cases from inception through trial preparation. Hybrid work environment is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
• State and Federal Court litigation experience required.
• Proven experience reviewing medical records and preparing medical chronologies.
• Experience with discovery management and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, and summarize case documents for litigation and trial preparation.
• Review medical records and identify relevant case information.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, notices, affidavits, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and maintain detailed medical chronologies.
• Assist with all phases of discovery and case management.
• Analyze case materials and assist with evaluations and client status reports.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, opposing counsel, mediators, and court personnel.
• Support trial preparation and document management efforts.
• Maintain accurate time entry and billing records.
• Manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
