Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Senior Insurance Authorization Specialist to support insurance authorization and verification for patients. You will work with Insurance Authorization I staff, ensure accurate records, validate demographics, and secure approvals while maintaining compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, payor rules, and customer service excellence. This remote position may require travel to client sites as business needs arise.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with authorization or revenue cycle processes for physician/hospital administered medications, injections, infusions, or genetic testing preferred.
• Experience with infusion therapies and lifecycle management of the infusion authorization process.
• Experience with oncology and specialty infusion therapies, treatment plans, and payor specific rules/policies.
• Must be inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to explore better processes and reduce friction.

Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate clinical records and submit authorization requests to insurance companies per plan requirements.
• Act as liaison between ordering physicians and insurance companies to ensure all requirements are communicated.
• Support the supervisor with escalated issues, track system and process issues, and help train new hires.
• Meet accuracy/quality targets (>95% audits) and maintain high customer service etiquette in calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
