Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Insurance Authorization Specialist Senior to join our team. This full-time role operates on a day shift (Mon–Fri, 9:00 a.m.

– 5:30 p.m.) with a hybrid work arrangement, supporting advanced preservice financial clearance across multiple service lines. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, strong payer policy interpretation, and a focus on ensuring utilization and reimbursement compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with authorizations and preservice financial clearance.
• Ability to interpret payer policies to prevent denials.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for complex authorization workflows across multiple service lines.
• Manage high-complexity authorization cases including advanced procedures.
• Coordinate payer escalations and peer-to-peer reviews when clinical review is needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, schedulers, and leadership to ensure medical necessity.
