Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its EY engagement teams, driving life and group insurance architecture transformations and delivering scalable technology solutions. You will craft target-state architectures across policy administration, underwriting, and servicing while aligning with business goals.

In this role, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps, evaluate platforms, and ensure governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant consulting, architecture, or technology experience.
• 3+ years of experience across Life Insurance, Annuities, or Group Benefits.
• Experience supporting architecture and implementation initiatives on one or more PAS platforms (FAST, FINEOS AdminSuite, ALIP, OIPA, DXC wmA/CyberLife, LifePro).
• Strong understanding of the Life & Annuity value chain (product config, underwriting, policy administration, servicing, claims, distribution).
• Experience delivering architecture deliverables for large-scale transformation programs.
• Knowledge of architecture patterns, integration technologies, APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
• Familiarity with platform configuration, extension frameworks, data migration, and enterprise system integration approaches.
• Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery models with clients, SI, and vendors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences.
• Experience facilitating architecture workshops and presenting recommendations to executives and technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and architecture modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of solution architectures for Life & Group Insurance transformation initiatives.
• Develop architecture artifacts, solution designs, and technical specifications across policy administration, underwriting, claims, servicing, integrations, data, and reporting.
• Partner with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Contribute to target-state architecture roadmaps and modernization strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Evaluate platform capabilities and support solution option assessments, including technology recommendations.
• Assist with integration architecture efforts, including APIs, middleware, cloud services, and enterprise connectivity.
• Support data architecture activities, including data migration, reporting, analytics, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Participate in architecture governance, design reviews, and security/compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with delivery and engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented and standards maintained.
• Stay current on industry trends, cloud capabilities, and AI innovations to improve practices.
