Job summary

The Brock Group Inc. is seeking a Craft Lead in Baytown, TX, to supervise a single crew and perform critical craft work on the Exxon project. You will drive safety compliance, execute tasks per contract, and coordinate with customers and teams on site.

You will oversee tool handling, material loading, time reporting, and adherence to QA/QC requirements while mentoring crew members. Strong communication and blueprint-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with crew and supervision.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture.
• Perform pre-job safety planning and ensure adherence to safety rules.
• Conduct crew meetings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and change orders.
• Understand contract scope and change order process.
• Prevent out-of-scope work without approvals.
• Operate per contractor specifications.
• Manage loading, unloading and storage of materials/equipment.
• Ensure equipment on site is safe and functional.
• Use Brock and client facilities properly.
• Ensure QA/QC and document work appropriately.
• Request equipment and supplies as needed.
• Estimate material and labor requirements.
• Assign work to employees.
• Maintain accurate time and material reporting.
• Analyze and plan installation and construction of equipment/structures.
• Promote Brock best practices for workers.
• Suggest improvements for production and safety.
