Job summary

Brindley Engineering Corporation in Lisle, IL, seeks a Staff Instrumentation Engineer to review client requirements and develop complete instrumentation solutions, including valve sizing and P&ID deliverables. The role requires DCS/PLC experience and multi-project capability.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience, a BSc in engineering, P.E. preferred, and strong knowledge of ISA/API/ASME standards, plus SPI sizing software expertise and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

BSc in Instrumentation/Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in instrumentation engineering.
P.E. licensure preferred.
Knowledge of ISA, API and ASME instrumentation standards.

Responsibilities

Lead instrumentation projects and prepare scope of work.
Attend client technical meetings and field walk-down meetings.
Develop instrumentation design solutions and deliverables.
Perform selection and sizing of process instrumentation.
Generate instrumentation data sheets, instrument lists, P&ID’s and DCS/PLC I/O lists.
Coordinate with piping group for inline instrumentation and valve stations.
