Hydrogen Group is seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation & Electrical Designer in Houston, TX. This role involves managing complex design deliverables across plant and pipeline projects.

Qualified candidates should have over 10 years of experience and a strong background in CAD drafting and instrumentation systems. Competitive pay rate between $78 and $82 hourly, 12-month contract, onsite in Downtown Houston.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in a project engineering environment.
• Senior-level experience is required.
• Experience specifying appropriate equipment for engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate project design and drafting management in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs).
• Assist in the development of project scopes for contracts with third parties.
• Attend project meetings to understand customer needs and provide technical input.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD drafting software and associated design processes

Working knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, plot plans

Understanding of instrumentation and electrical systems

Strong coordination and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Willing to travel

Education

Two-year college drafting degree or equivalent experience

High school diploma or equivalent
