The Instrument Technician, Level 3 at PBF Energy Inc. in Torrance, CA is responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation and analyzer systems at the refinery.

Qualifications

• Education/experience in the instrument/electrical trade that has performed tasks directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Ability to install and maintain instruments.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and testing instruments.
• Able to lift to 50lb.
• Ability to work while donned in a variety of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Ability to climb, bend, lift and perform a wide range of physical activities in all weather conditions.
• Willing and able to work overtime, shift work, and weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoots various types of instruments and analyzers contained within indication, control, and process safety systems and ensures the installation adheres to national codes and site standards.
• Coordinate with supervision to identify, order, and install replacements for defective parts.
• Interfaces with the Engineering Department to identify opportunities to upgrade instrumentation to improve reliability via the Management of Change process.
• Performs offline and online preventative maintenance procedures and produces maintenance records, including new work requests when deficiencies or improvements are identified.
