Ideal candidates bring senior-level instrument reliability experience in refining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments, with a proven ability to drive improvements and own complex programs.

Qualifications

  • Senior-level Instrument Reliability Engineer with industrial experience.
  • Experience with Mechanical Integrity Programs, RCFA, and reliability strategy development.
  • Refining or petrochemical background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the site's Mechanical Integrity Program and reliability initiatives.
  • Develop and implement equipment and reliability strategies across the site.
  • Lead RCFA investigations and drive root-cause analyses.
  • Establish and improve reliability standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Serve as a strategic reliability resource across engineering, maintenance and operations.
  • Engage with industry groups to identify and implement best practices.
  • Support Turnaround activities and long-term asset reliability initiatives.

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 base, depending on experience

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Instrument Reliability Engineer to provide strategic leadership for reliability initiatives at a large industrial manufacturing site. This is a highly visible role with significant ownership of reliability programs, asset management, and site-wide reliability strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and support the site's Mechanical Integrity Program.
  • Develop and implement equipment and reliability strategies.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations.
  • Establish and improve reliability standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Serve as a strategic reliability resource across engineering, maintenance, and operations.
  • Participate in industry groups and conferences to identify and implement best practices.
  • Support Turnaround activities and long-term asset reliability initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
  • Senior-level Instrument Reliability Engineer with significant industrial experience.
  • Background in refining, petrochemical, chemical, midstream, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with Mechanical Integrity Programs, RCFA, and reliability strategy development.
  • Proven ability to drive reliability improvements and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong program ownership and independent decision-making skills.
  • Refining experience strongly preferred.
