Weston & Sampson CMR in Wilmington, MA is seeking a Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer to organize and assist in daily instrumentation duties on multidisciplinary projects.

You will ensure installation of conduits, sensors, PLCs, and control systems, review materials, and support project teams toward timely, safe completion. The role demands hands-on field work and collaborative problem solving across trades.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working with industrial instruments, pressure sensors, flow meters, temperature probes, PLCs, and control systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily time sheet logs.
• Report to work on time and prepared.
• Collaborate with craftsmen on multidiscipline projects to complete projects within budget.
• Adhere to safety policies and complete weekly on-line safety training.
• Review and plan projects to ensure materials are on site to minimize travel for missing parts.
• Install conduit, wire, equipment per plans and specifications.
• Perform emergency troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.
• Review hours and materials with supervisor/Foreman/Project Manager/General Manager.
• Attend project closeout meetings where applicable.
• Discuss profit/loss with Foreman/Project Manager/General Manager and maximize efficiency for future projects.

What you’ll do:

• Thoroughly review and plan projects/tasks to ensure materials are on site prior to start of work to minimize lost time due to travel to buy missing parts.
• Install conduit, wire, equipment per plans and specifications.
• Perform emergency troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.
• Review hours and materials used with your supervisor Foreman/Project Manager/General Manager.
• Attend project closeout meeting where applicable.
• Discuss profit/loss with Foreman/Project Manager/General Manager and determine how to maximize efficiency for future projects.

Pay Range: $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience
