Job summary

Team Carney is seeking experienced Instructional Systems Specialists to design, develop, and evaluate training for law enforcement, administrative, and technical staff onsite in Laurel, MD. You will lead curriculum development, online training, and assessment design.

The role requires a Master’s degree or equivalent certifications with 6+ years of experience in instructional design, plus ADDIE and TNA expertise. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent certifications in instructional design/education
• Minimum of 6 years experience as an Instructional Systems Designer/Specialist
• Experience with ADDIE and Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
• Eligible for Suitability Assessment including fingerprinting
• Certifications in instructional design or training management are preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and develop course materials and evaluation strategies for law enforcement, professional, administrative, and technical staff
• Analyze areas or jobs to determine instructional system revision requirements
• Gather information from subject matter experts and observers for curriculum development
• Develop and design system for new or revised curriculum, online training, tests, and evaluation criteria
• Address content issues and recommend curriculum improvements
• Determine learning objectives and organize course content with design plans
• Plan validity and reliability studies for tests and student progress items
• Develop and design evaluation systems for training programs and identify deficiencies
• Input and maintain curriculum in learning management system (LMS)
