You will create hands-on activities, assessments, simulations, and job aids, and participate in milestone reviews with SMEs to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years creating instructor-led training for hands-on skills in complex environments.
• Bachelor's degree in adult education or related field.
• Experience with instructional design methodologies and technical writing.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to communicate with SMEs and translate content for learners.
• Self-manage tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design instructor-led, classroom, and field-based training for apprenticeships in the Power Generation utility sector.
• Conduct task analyses for high-risk hands-on work performed by hydro utility workers.
• Create hands-on activities, guides, facilitator materials, and scenario-based learning.
• Develop assessments, simulations, videos, and other media to support job performance.
• Define objectives and course structure aligned to safety requirements and remote learning.
• Work with Senior Instructional Designer to apply company standards and templates.
• Participate in milestone meetings with SMEs (alpha, beta, train-the-trainer, pilot).
• Engage SMEs for ongoing content review and validation.
• Available 8am–5pm PST; meet in person for milestone meetings as needed.
