The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for an Institutional Research Analyst III to design research studies and develop advanced statistical models and predictive analytics to support the university's strategic priorities through continuous quality improvement.

The role collaborates with Business Intelligence to surface data via dashboards and reports and mentors junior analysts.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Statistics or a related field and six years of related experience.
Work experience may not substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

Uses advanced quantitative methods and statistical software to design major research studies.
Develops data collection structures to measure initiative success and inform future research.
Shares findings with university stakeholders via presentations and summary reports.
Collaborates with Business Intelligence to surface data through dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reports.
Pursues external grant funding to expand analytical capabilities.
Mentors Institutional Research Analysts and student interns in analytical skills.
Maintains accuracy and integrity of institutional data and oversees timely reporting for federal and state requirements.
Distributes IR work among analysts and coordinates with the Executive Director for adjustments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
