Job summary

A-1 Windows and Doors is seeking an experienced residential window and door installer to join our team. This role averages about 30 hours per week and is ideal for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include installing replacement and new construction windows, interior/exterior doors, and finish carpentry while addressing on-site challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years residential remodeling experience including construction experience and knowledge of window/door construction terms.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in the field
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building practices
• Experience with finish carpentry and trim work
• Understanding of residential Connecticut building code
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
• Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable speaking with customers on structural discoveries, change of scope and setting new expectations
• Experience installing multiple window and door product lines
• OSHA safety training or certifications
• Lead-safe renovation experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in residential remodeling and finish carpentry and will receive training on A-1 Windows and Doors installation standards, best practices, and product-specific guidelines.

Pay: Starting at $30+/hour based on experience.
