Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on residential solar installation experience.
• OSHA certification and NABCEP PV Installation Professional preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong understanding of solar racking systems and inverters.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential solar panel installations on rooftops and ground mounts.

You’ll play a hands-on role in completing safe, high-quality residential solar installations that help homeowners make the switch to clean, renewable energy.

This is a hands-on, field-based role that’s ideal for an experienced solar professional who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys working with solar equipment, electrical components, and installation systems. You’ll help ensure projects meet company standards, project specifications, and applicable electrical codes while maintaining a safe and professional jobsite.

Compensation: $25 - $30 / hour

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform residential solar panel installations on rooftops and ground mounts, including racking, module placement, inverter setup, and wiring.
• Ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and national (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Assist with site preparation and material staging while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Accurately document installation details, including photographs, equipment layouts, and material usage.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, inspectors, and internal team members.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and vehicle guidelines.
• Support additional installation responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong understanding of solar racking systems, inverters, and electrical components.
• Comfortable working at heights, on rooftops, and with a variety of power tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional and courteous communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow company policies and procedures.
• OSHA certification and/or NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Education And Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with residential solar installation required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at heights and on rooftops for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding installation tasks throughout the workday.
• Must be able to work safely in varying outdoor conditions.
