Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1 year CEI/MEI experience with the construction of roadway or bridge structures or 4 years CEI/MEI experience in roadway or bridge construction is required.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with the Department’s procedures and proficient in computer programs needed for project duties.
• Exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to field aspects of the project.
• Perform highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.
• Coordinate and manage the lower-level inspectors.
• Perform work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.
• This is a full-time position and may require night and weekend work as the project construction schedule requires.
