Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced construction inspector to oversee civil projects across Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties in New York. You will observe construction progress, interpret drawings, and ensure quality and safety on site.

The role requires at least 5 years of inspection experience, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to work independently within HDR's employee-owned culture. Local travel to project sites is expected in the Hudson Valley region.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute for a diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in construction inspection.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Active participant of HDR's employee-owned culture.
• HDR Drug and Alcohol Policy applies; may require drug-screen per client requirements.

This position covers Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties in New York.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads and bridges

Preferred Qualifications

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) New York: $98,525 - $140,750
