Job summary

Medtronic Electronics Components Center (MECC) in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, is seeking a Senior Inspection Supervisor to lead the day-to-day inspection of components, assemblies, and finished products. The role requires onsite work five days a week and travel of about 10%.

You will develop and coach inspection staff, manage workflows, ensure compliance with specifications, and drive continuous improvement using SPC, GD&T, and QA tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of manufacturing, quality inspection, or quality assurance experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience in a manufacturing, quality, or regulated production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee inspection activities for in-process and finished products.
• Direct, develop, and evaluate inspection personnel to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
• Prioritize inspection schedules to support manufacturing requirements, new product introductions, and customer commitments while minimizing turnaround times.
• Review inspection results and make disposition decisions regarding acceptance, rejection, rework, or escalation of nonconforming product.
• Ensure the effective use and maintenance of inspection equipment, gauges, measuring devices, and testing systems.
• Monitor quality performance metrics and support statistical process control and other quality control methodologies to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation in accordance with quality management system requirements.
• Recommend and implement improvements to inspection methods, procedures, staffing plans, equipment utilization, and operational processes.
