Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to build and mature an insider threat detection and response program. You will join a front-line team detecting, investigating, and responding to threats against company data and systems.

Key responsibilities include designing detections for data misuse at scale and collaborating with Engineering, HR, and Legal on investigations, while engaging in incident response and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations, with experience in DLP, UEBA, and data science approaches.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity of AWS and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• 12-month W-2 contract, remote within the U.S., full-time 40 hours/week with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design and write detections for data misuse and exfiltration at scale, and close visibility gaps across infrastructure.
• Partner with Engineering, HR, and Legal on investigations, and participate in incident response and on-call rotation.
