The role includes dispensing support, IV room management, precepting staff, and ensuring timely medication delivery while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with national certification (PTCB or NHA) or eligible intern.
• Experience in sterile compounding, hospital setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of USP 797/800 standards.
• Experience with TPN compounding and complex sterile preparations.
• Familiarity with Epic system and IV workflow software (BD IV Prep or similar).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately.
• Perform sterile compounding and maintain aseptic technique.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with USP 797/800.
• Preceptor to new technicians and train on shifts.
• Manage IV room, labeling, storage, and waste minimization.
• Ensure timely medication delivery and patient information flow.
