Job summary

Health Partners Management Group, Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder to assign ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for inpatient stays within DoD-related healthcare settings. The role involves DRG determination, documentation review, and ensuring coding accuracy for proper reimbursement.

You will work with MTF staff, utilize MHS GENESIS and 3M Encompass, and educate others on coding guidelines. A minimum five years of inpatient coding experience is expected, with multiple specialties preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient coding and auditing.
• Strong understanding of DRG assignment and reimbursement rules.
• Knowledge of DoD/MHS coding requirements and DHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD, CPT, HCPCS codes for inpatient stays.
• Determine DRGs and ensure accurate RVUs.
• Educate MTF staff on coding issues via in-services.
• Maintain delinquency reports for missing documentation.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of inpatient records.
