Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Tooling Engineer for developing plastic injection tooling projects aimed at enhancing product performance. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure tooling designs meet both performance and aesthetic requirements.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in injection mold design and hands-on experience with materials engineering, and will oversee the entire tooling process from design to final approval.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in injection mold design/construction.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new plastic injection tooling projects.
• Collaborate with teams on material selection and design feasibility.
• Ensure tooling meets design specifications during production.
