Job summary

Graco Inc. is seeking a Setup Technician to manage production setup for injection molding machines, tooling, and processes. You will develop cycles for new or modified tooling and inspect molded components to ensure quality.

You will also sustain mold-specific setup procedures, mentor staff on molding techniques, and troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain product quality. Strong knowledge of tooling, blueprints, and safety is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical degree or diploma in related field or equivalent experience (8 years of injection molding experience).
• 4 years of experience as a Setup Technician.
• 3 years of experience in mold maintenance tasks.
• 7 years of experience operating injection molding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain production of injection molding machines, tooling, and processes.
• Cycle development for inherited, modified, or new tooling.
• Inspect molded components to confirm quality.
• Develop and sustain mold-specific setup and equipment setup processes including gantry robot program development and optimization.
• Mentor and train other personnel on injection molding and auxiliary processes.
• Troubleshoot the manufacturing process to diagnose and resolve issues affecting product quality.
