Job summary

Cooper Standard Automotive, Inc. is seeking an Injection M molding engineer to support special projects and engineering assistance for molding equipment and tooling.

The role requires coordinating with production to minimize downtime and ensuring equipment meets specifications. You will contribute to DF M and process validation, assist with tool development, and participate in lean initiatives while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering with minimum two years direct injection molding experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in MS Office; CAD experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and supervisory abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue enhancements in molding equipment to improve cost, quality, safety and ergonomics.
• Troubleshoot quality and processing concerns with new mold tooling and equipment, then implement corrective actions.
• Inspect incoming mold tooling and equipment to ensure they meet original build specifications.
• Actively support production to minimize downtime and resolve issues promptly.
• Contribute to product design during development with DF M principles and functional/aesthetic requirements.
• Support the Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
