Röchling Medical in Rochester, MN seeks a senior Injection Molding Process Engineer to lead hands-on development, validation, and optimization of medical device components. You will partner with Tool Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to establish robust processing windows and production-ready documentation.

The role requires 8+ years in injection molding, formal scientific molding training, and experience with IQ/OQ/PQ validation, DOE studies, and statistical analysis using Minitab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Plastics/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on injection molding process engineering work.
• Scientific molding training or certification preferred (RJG AIM/Master Molder).
• Experience in regulated medical device manufacturing is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead molding process development for new/existing products, establishing robust processing windows.
• Plan mold trials, characterize processes, and optimize parameters including fill, pack, and cycle time.
• Troubleshoot defects with root-cause analysis and data-driven decisions using Minitab.
• Develop and execute DOE studies to identify critical inputs and validate improvements.
• Create production-ready documentation: setup sheets, process windows, and control plans.
