We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure (Roadway / DOT) Sales Manager Southeast to join Cooper Lighting Solutions as a Home Based employee in the Southeast Region (AL, MS, GA, TN, KY or AR) but ideally located near Atlanta, GA.

As the Senior Infrastructure (Roadway / DOT) Sales Manager Southeast, you will be responsible for the growth of Cooper Lighting Solutions specification projects in the outdoor infrastructure (DOT, Roadway, Utility, Municipality/City) lighting and controls salesportfolios. The position will require travel throughout the Southeast Region, to work with a diverse and talented team of independent manufacturing agents, to educate and motivate them to garner specifications leading to sales for CLS lighting brands.

More about the role

  • Develop short and long-term plan to grow outdoor infrastructure lighting and controls sales with state departments of transportation.

  • Grow and maintain Cooper's market share with investor-owned utilities, cooperatives and municipal electric utilities.

  • Maintain an active presence with key specifying influences; present product and solutions to DOT and municipal consulting engineering firms, lighting and landscape design firms and others.

  • Support long and short-term project and design opportunities and Interface, as needed, with Cooper's regional specification managers.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with utility and DOT contractors, ESCOs and distributors.

  • Maintain top notch agency representation in the region; providing product and solutions training; supporting sales calls, territory events, etc. Provide regular / periodic feedback to agents on performance. Develop corrective action plans for deficient agents, and recommend upgrades and replacement, when required.

  • Serve as regional subject matter expert for Trellix Infrastructure controls product line; present controls technologies and solutions to key stakeholders for approvals and secure pilot projects to grow market share.

  • Support post sales group with warranty and minor field repair issues.

  • Support local and national infrastructure tradeshows and conferences.

More about you

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years' sales-related experience

  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, motivational and organizational skills

  • Understand and demonstrate the ability to use CRM and MS Office applications such as excel and PowerPoint to develop presentations and sales tools to assist in selling LED products.

  • 4+ years of experience in the lighting products industry with exposure to LED product lines/technology within the DOT, municipal, outdoor infrastructure lighting ecosystem preferred.

  • Experience working with and/or leading lighting (or similiar industries) 3rd party manufacturing representatives/agencies.

Salary:$120,000 - $176,000

Bonus:Target Sales Incentive- 35%
