Job Description

• Engage with technical experts from different domains to address and solve complex Information Security challenges and issues.
• Provide input into infrastructure investment decisions and strategies.
• Provide technical leadership to infrastructure teams in the adoption and implementation of security technologies.
• Lead implementation, security design, and integration of critical initiatives from the Technology Services strategy.
• Provide guidance over general information security activities and concerns of the organization’s infrastructure function including governance, policy, design, general operational effectiveness and internal controls.
• Provide technical leadership in integration of technologies and products for encryption, LDAP Directory integration, cloud integration, identity management, vulnerability management.
• Troubleshoot complex systemic issues to identify security issues versus general issues with technology.

Job Requirements

• 15+ years of demonstrable experience to provide the ability to understand and troubleshoot across various levels of infrastructure.
• Experience with networking (topology, routing, firewall, hardware, etc.).
• Experience with operating systems.
• Experience with hardware (blades and storage).
• Experience with middleware technologies (databases and application containers such as Tomcat, WebLogic, etc.).
• Experience with application stack.
• Experience with security.
• Ability to immediately understand, work in, and troubleshoot deployment of infrastructure pieces across various network segments that include differing levels of packet filtering.
• Deep understanding of various networking and application protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, etc.).
• Extensive experience with PKI engineering, implementation, and support.
• Ability to understand and master new, emerging technologies to the level of creating designs based on new technology, while helping to teach and fill in knowledge gaps as needed to other engineers.
• Demonstrates understanding of technologies to a process level; can explain the criteria and how processes interact with network traffic.
• Experience interfacing with personnel across all roles from Help Desk, Desktop Support, Server Administration, Virtualization, and Infrastructure.
• Ability to analyze multiple tasks and delegate to individuals based on strengths and weaknesses.
• Ability to apply decisive judgment to potential infrastructure changes based on weighing risk, benefit, and personnel management.
• Ability to mentor and guide other engineering leads and below.
• Ability to simplify complex technology and explain it in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Ability to provide simple and optimum solutions for complex problems.
• Master’s degree in engineering, applied science or mathematics.
