Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to provide operational support, administration, and knowledge transfer within a Microsoft-centric environment in Waltham, MA. The role emphasizes hands-on AD, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online, with a focus on uptime and reliability.

You will work closely with customer SMEs and internal teams, handling migrations, onboarding, documentation, and incident management in a hybrid onsite model.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Operations.
• Strong hands-on Active Directory administration.
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration.
• Microsoft 365 administration.
• Exchange Online administration.
• Group Policy management.
• DNS/DHCP and networking fundamentals.
• VMware and/or Hyper-V experience.
• Incident and problem management experience.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and break/fix skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Active Directory infrastructure.
• Manage user provisioning, Group Policy, security groups, and access controls.
• Provide Microsoft 365 administration and technical support.
• Support Exchange Online mailbox administration.
• Perform Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, and break/fix activities.
• Monitor server health and system performance and respond to operational incidents.
• Provide infrastructure-level support for SQL Server environments.
• Collaborate with application owners, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
• Assist with infrastructure migrations, service transitions, and onboarding activities.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation.
• Support knowledge-transfer activities with internal teams and customer SMEs.
• Provide onsite support during onboarding and transition phases.
