Job summary

Bloomsbury Publishing USA is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain IT systems and infrastructure, delivering secure, highly available platforms and acting as a technical advisor within the IT Services team.

You'll split time between 3rd line helpdesk support and infrastructure projects, with a focus on reducing business risk and improving service delivery in a hybrid work environment in the New York metro area.

Qualifications

• Maintain IT infrastructure and keep components up-to-date.
• Lead deployment systems to end-users.
• Be 3rd line support and escalation point.
• Produce and maintain infrastructure documentation.
• Participate in planning and delivery of projects.
• Provide out of hours support on a best-efforts basis.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Guide continuous improvement to reduce business risk.

Responsibilities

• Split day-to-day work between 3rd line support and infrastructure projects.
• Provide guidance and engineering support for IT services initiatives.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure secure, highly available platforms.
• Assist in incident response and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain and improve monitoring, backups and runbooks.
