Job summary

Google LLC is hiring a Software Engineer III for Infrastructure, Core. The role focuses on building the foundational infrastructure that underpins Google’s flagship products, with emphasis on large-scale distributed systems and compute technologies.

You will design, code, test, and deploy robust software for critical core components. The Core team drives central solutions across products, balancing performance, reliability, and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in C++.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and update with product/program changes.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact.
