Job summary

Legence is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support core enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role emphasizes high availability, security, and performance while partnering with IT and business teams.

The position offers compensation in the $130k–$148k range, with benefits including 401(k) matching, health/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and generous time off. Local California employment is assumed.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles
• Experience with multi‑vendor firewalls, switches, wireless, IPv4, routing protocols, NAT, VPNs, VLANs
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support network infrastructure with a focus on Layer 2/3 concepts
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and related identity services
• Support cloud services (Azure preferred), including IaaS, PaaS, identity, automation, and monitoring
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues across network, server, cloud, and authentication platforms
• Maintain infrastructure documentation (configs, diagrams, runbooks, IP subnets, change histories)
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure projects
