Job summary

SimpleClosure is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join Asset Hub, SimpleClosure's marketplace for assets left behind when a company shuts down. You’ll lead the design and delivery of scalable systems, collaborating with leadership, product, and design to ensure high-quality solutions.

You’ll mentor engineers, implement modern tools, and shape the technical direction in a fast-paced startup, while working a hybrid schedule in New York City.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Ability to design scalable systems and APIs.
• Experience leading engineering teams in startup environments.
• Strong focus on testing, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of complex features from concept to deployment.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
• Architect scalable, maintainable systems, APIs, and services across the stack.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct and lead code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security.
• Build and secure systems to protect customer and internal data.
• Introduce modern tools and processes to improve development speed and maintainability.
• Set technical direction with leadership and prioritize work in a fast-paced startup.
