Job summary

Fuse Engineering is seeking a technically experienced engineer to evaluate and design a refreshed Hosted Desktop Infrastructure (HDI) for developer environments, addressing new security restrictions. The role includes deploying and supporting a VMWare vCloud environment and designing scalable storage with NetApp clusters.

You will set up Cisco UCS hardware, manage mobile and wireless networks, and implement a Mac OSX virtual environment for development testing.

Qualifications

• Top Secret SCI w/ Maryland Polygraph Required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and design an updated Hosted Desktop Infrastructure (HDI) for developer environments to meet new security restrictions.
• Install, configure and support VMWare vCloud environment.
• Design and implement storage solutions utilizing multiple NetApp clusters to replace current end of life storage systems.
• Set up and maintain Cisco UCS hardware for virtual environment.
• Install, configure and support mobile cellular and wireless networks to include switches, routers, gateway or functional servers, to support requirements of the scope and scale consistent with campus or system wide networks.
• Implement a Mac OSX virtual environment for development testing.
• Setting up GUI based deployment server that provides administrators with the ability to select between Windows and Linux desktop installations from the same application.
• Leading medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects.
