Job summary

WoodmenLife is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to shape the enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises and hybrid environments, focusing on modernization, automation, resiliency, and lifecycle initiatives.

This senior individual‑contributor role reports to the Director of Technical Services and will collaborate across Systems Engineering, Networking, Operations, Enterprise and Cloud Architecture, Security, and Application Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of information technology experience.
• 5+ years in infrastructure or systems architecture leadership.
• Experience across networking, compute, storage, virtualization, IAM, automation, observability, and hybrid cloud.
• Experience with Agile Release Train in architecture governance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership for infrastructure platforms and modernization initiatives.
• Develop infrastructure patterns, reference architectures, and technical standards and roadmaps.
• Lead IOS ART architecture for PI Planning and enabler definition.
• Collaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams.
• Ensure security, resiliency, and operational readiness of solutions.
• Document architecture decisions, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs.
