WHITEFISH CREDIT UNION is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Administrator in Kalispell, MT to support all systems and infrastructure. This senior role requires autonomous handling of complex projects, 24/7 on-call readiness, and collaboration with IT teams to maintain critical services.

The position emphasizes planning, documentation, and vendor interaction, with responsibilities spanning upgrades, security, and system optimization in a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or a related subject.
• 5+ years related employment experience.
• Current or within 12 months - MCSA, Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent certifications.
• 3-5 years managing networking infrastructure lifecycle (installations, configurations, upgrades).
• 1-3 years managing Windows and Linux/Unix server systems.
• 1-3 years of virtualization or SAN experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and occasionally lead team meetings and activities.
• Execute project tasks from concept to completion.
• Maintain education and cross-training in infrastructure areas.
• Prepare and attend training as appropriate.
• Evaluate infrastructure work requests and major projects with estimates.
• Provide management with system recommendations and detailed work plans.
• Troubleshoot outages and performance issues supporting business processes.
• Configure and install systems to ensure reliable operation.
