Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Infra Risk Prevention Technician to support utility distribution maintenance in a semiconductor fab environment. You will monitor systems, respond to leaks/outages, and perform repairs in coordination with tool owners.

Must be an active ERT member and work the Night shift (D shift: Wed–Fri, 6:45pm–7:15am) with alternating Saturdays. Requirements include a high school diploma, 7+ years of relevant experience, Journeyman Pipefitter, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in infra risk prevention or maintenance.
• Journeyman Pipefitter or equivalent certification.
• Experience with pipefitting, plumbing, orbital welding and tube bending is a plus.
• HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Familiarity with semiconductor tool hookup, cleanroom protocols and industrial utilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor distribution systems visually and document abnormalities; perform repairs.
• Respond to outages or out-of-spec conditions and coordinate with tool owners for repairs.
• Be a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Work with stainless steel, PP, CPVC, PVDF piping systems.
• Shift: D Shift (night) Wed-Fri, 6:45pm–7:15am with alternating Saturdays.

Position Summary

As a Infra Risk Prevention Technician, you’ll work to support utility distribution maintenance in a semiconductor fab environment. You’ll be responsible respond to leaks, distribution failures, visually monitor systems by walking areas checking for abnormalities, modify and repair systems when needed.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Monitor distribution systems visually, document abnormalities and execute repair.


• Respond to reported utility outages or out of spec conditions, leaks and/or piping failures and execute repairs in coordination with tool owners.


• Requires ERT (Emergency Response Team) membership.


• Requires work on Stainless steel, Polypropylene, CPVC, PVDF, piping systems.


• Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.


• Work hours: D Shift (night) – Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.


• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is necessary.


• Journeyman Pipefitter or equivalent.


• Pipefitting and plumbing, orbital welding, tube bending, site specific knowledge a plus.


• Tool hook-up experience a plus.


• HAZWOPER certification preferred.


• Semiconductor tool hook‑up requirements, cleanroom protocols, industrial utilities (UPW, Scrubber, HVAC).


• Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
