Job summary

Liquid Compute is building the financial infrastructure layer for AI compute in New York. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and operate core services that model capacity and price, moving contracts through reservations to delivery and settlement.

You will own production services, write tests, monitor systems under load, and help define architectural standards for a fast-growing platform. This early team, backed by Y Combinator, offers ownership and impact across the product and

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant software engineering experience in backend, platform, infrastructure, distributed systems, or another production systems domain.
• Strong reasoning about state, failure, and data modeling.
• Experience owning production services and shipping, monitoring, and improving systems.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language and working with databases, APIs, and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design APIs, services, and stateful workflows that move from quote to delivery and settlement.
• Build ingestion and reconciliation pipelines for price, availability, contract, and usage data.
• Write tests, instrument services, and participate in incident response and on-call as the platform grows.
• Review code, document operational context, and create tools that help engineers move faster without sacrificing reliability.
