Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) in our Linthicum, MD office to support a DoD customer in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include log review with SIEM tools, vulnerability analysis, STIG/DISA compliance, and DevSecOps integration to ensure secure development across systems and networks. A Top Secret with SCI eligibility and advanced degrees are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 3 years.
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred; IAT Level II certification.
• Experience translating security requirements into design and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the ISSO with log review and SIEM-based actions.
• Conduct vulnerability analysis and ACAS/STIG reviews.
• Lead DevSecOps initiatives to integrate security in development cycles.
• Coordinate security activities with system leads, ISSOs and program managers.
• Assess risks and recommend mitigations; lead internal security audits.
